A highly dedicated and enthusiastic teacher specialising in Business and Economics at A Level and GCSE. I have 20 years experience of teaching Business Studies and Economics at outstanding secondary schools and have been an examiner for Edexcel A Level Economics and GCSE Business Studies.

I am dedicated to supporting students to achieve their potential and reach their academic goals enabling them to open doors to access their future ambitions.

I held the position of Leader for Business and Economics for 6 years before taking on the role of Head of Sixth Form. I have an excellent track record in improving students’ grades at both GCSE and A Level.

Every student has different requirements and it is important that tutoring sessions are always adaptable to meet the needs of the individual. To ensure high levels of achievement at A Level we need to embed the theories and content – tackling those tricky topics as well as mastering the vital exam technique. Key to exam success is securing the higher order skills of analysis and evaluation as well as being able to apply the information in the case study to exam answers and bringing in relevant examples from the world around us. I have a passion for my subject and I enjoy sharing that enthusiasm with students which leads to them accessing the skills needed to succeed particularly in application of the theory to real world situations.

In my position of Head of Sixth Form, I have had significant experience in supporting students in planning their next steps when they leave school and providing guidance on effective applications and personal statements.
